I was looking through my back issues to use it as a reference last night but cannot seem to locate it anymore. A few months back white dwarf ran an article about painting the Azyrite ruins in different schemes to represent different realms.

Some of the skeletons have their arms and legs bound, so I painted them with Mourfang Brown before washing them with Gore-Grunta Fur contrast paint. It makes 3 sections of ruins, 2 of which feature raised floor sections, a corner piece, a broken pillar, and includes a padlocked chest. I chose a very effective approach for painting the stonework: I sprayed everything black, then added a zenithal highlight, not with an airbrush, but dark grey spray from Vallejo.I wanted the plaster between the bricks to stand out from the rest of the model, like the building had been hastily bricked up before they became ruins.

I washed the non-pillar parts I washed with Strong Tone and gave it a very light drybrush with Tyrant Skull. Finally, I picked out the twin-tailed comets and lettering with Scale 75 Metal ‘n’ Alchemy Dwarven Gold.
