Duggie Dug Dug in Chandlers Ford
The Parish of Chandlers Ford are excited to be hosting a Praise
Party lead by Doug Horley, otherwise known as Duggie Dug Dug!
Doug has a national and international ministry working with
children and song writing. Some years ago his song, "We want to see Jesus
lifted high", was chosen as the theme song for the Global March for Jesus
event and sung by some 25 million people in 176 countries. Doug is a recording
artist signed to EMI/Kingsway and he has written many other songs that have
become children's favourites in churches across the planet.
With his team he travels widely putting on family praise parties, seminars
and "adult" celebrations.
Doug will be here on Saturday 31st January, the programme will be:
Seminar for children's workers (over 16's) 2.00pm-4.00pm. Tickets
are £7.00.
Praise party for families with children aged 11 years
and under from 6.00pm-7.30pm. Tickets £3.00, under 3 years free.
Tickets and further information available from the Parish
office, tel. 023 8026 5977 (9.00am- 1.00pm Monday - Friday).
Both these events will be held at St. Boniface Church in Hursley
Road.
Traidcraft stalls at St Boniface and St Martin in the Wood
There are regular Traidcraft stalls at both churches.
It would be wonderful if, as in previous years, the stalls
could be well supported. Remember, supporting Traidcraft means
that you are backing producers and their families from many
of the world's poorest areas.
The stalls are usually held on the last Sunday of the month
at St. Boniface after the 10.00am service, and the first Sunday of the month
at St. Martins.
The Traidcraft stalls at St. Martin's Church follow
the 9.15am service, but you don't have to come to the service!
You are more than welcome to come to the church after 10.30am,
have a coffee and take a look at the stall.

Music & Worship
by Hugh Benham
Out now, Music and Worship by Dr Hugh Benham, Organist at
St Boniface.
A 52 page booklet centring on the music and worship
of a suburban parish in Southern Hampshire. Church music
(wherever it falls on the scale that extends from formal/traditional
to happy-clappy) can easily become inward-looking and
self-satisfied. This book considers why we do what we
do, about the meaning of some of the words we sing and
pray.
Price £4 Copies are available from
the Parish Office and at both churches on Sundays.
Proceeds will go to St Anne’s Hospital, Liuli.
