Both churches have a sound system with a hearing aid loop, and large print service and hymn books, should you require them. This will be held next Sunday, 12th September. Our gifts help to support Isobel Booth-Clibborn working in Kampala Uganda. This year Paul Thaxter from Southampton is coming to tell us about the Church Mission Society Timothy Fund, which is used to train and support indigenous missionaries in many parts of the world. September 26th is “Back to Church Sunday”. Do you know someone whom you would like to invite and welcome back to church? Someone, perhaps, Step out at Sunrise on Sunday 12th September in aid of Countess Mountbatten Hospice. A circular 8 mile walk starts at 6.30am at St. Catherine’s Park and Ride. The £15 registration includes a T-shirt, goodie bag and a welcome cup of tea and bacon butty on your return. Registration forms are at the back of both churches. Brian Green – Reader Emeritus. After many years of Reader service in our parish, Brian has decided to retire from regular Reader ministry, from the beginning of September 2010. We would like to express our great thanks to Brian for all his faithful service, which we will be celebrating later in September. Ian, Fiona and Lynda. Harvest Lunch – Sunday 26th September at 12.30. St. Boniface Centre. This year a change to the ‘cheese’ menu! Come and enjoy a traditional country meal. Homemade soup, main course and pudding, with a vegetarian alternative by request when booking. Licensed bar, Lucky Number tickets, £6.50 (no charge for children) from Deirdre Tomlinson/Kay Ayling or the Parish Office. Proceeds to both church funds. Menu details on notice boards. Being a Good Neighbour in Chandler’s Ford. Can you help? Can you spare an hour or two now and then? We urgently need more drivers to take people shopping, to the doctor and dentist, to visit their partners in local care homes and to get to hospital and other medical appointments. You can give as much time or as little time as you choose, as often as you choose. Maybe you can offer a regular time slot, it’s up to you. Please call the team on 07914 757380.
