Notices
The Parish offers its love and congratulations to Fiona and Dave
on the exciting announcement of Fiona’s pregnancy. We all look forward to
the happy event in late January/early February. Michael Harley.
The St. Boniface kitchen is being refurbished between Monday 18th and
Friday 29th August. We apologise that there will be no coffee after the 10.00am
service next Sunday 24th, but anticipate that it will be served as usual
on the 31st. To compensate for this inconvenience, everyone is invited to
the “Grand Opening” ceremony of the newly-refurbished kitchen after the 10.00am
service on Sunday 14th September. Do come and join us then for coffee and
cake – St. Boniface Centre Committee.
Due to the kitchen refurbishment there will be refreshments in the
Cloister Lounge on Wednesday, after the 9.15am service and Praise
and Play.
Date for your Diaries: Sunday 21st September 6.30pm at St. Martin in the
Wood for the re-licensing of Revd. Fiona Gibbs as Associate Vicar of
Chandler’s Ford, by the
Rt. Revd. Paul Butler, Bishop of Southampton. We would love to see you all
there as we celebrate the life of the parish we represent and the continuation
of the ministry for the future.
CMS Gift Day is on Sunday 31st August . Hazel Leonard will be speaking
at the 10.00am service at St. Boniface. She has worked as a volunteer
under the umbrella of CMS. Is she a teenager? No. After retiring as a Nurse
Tutor with the NHS she has worked in Papua New Guinea, Zaire, and more recently
at Kisiizi Hospital in Uganda. She came home in January this year and has
recently celebrated her 81st birthday!
