Junior Church for 4–11 year olds

We meet most Sundays during the year with the exception of the Summer Holidays. On the first Sunday in the month, at St Boniface, we join in with the Family Service with Communion.  At St Martins this is the third Sunday of the month.

Our meetings begin the same time as the main service – 9.15am at St Martins and 10.00am at St Boniface. All the children are in church at the end of the service to either receive a blessing or to take Communion.

We aim to teach the children who come to us something of the love that God has for us made flesh in his son Jesus.

We play games, tell some of the wonderful stories in the Bible, sing songs, create works-of art (we think they are anyway!) and lots more besides. Children do not have to come every week (although we love it if they do) as each lesson stands alone.

As well as our weekly meetings we hold workshop days throughout the year eg Advent, Epiphany, Easter, Pentecost and a 'Halloween' alternative celebration. We also play an active part in the family services.
