Hiring the Facilities at St Boniface Centre

The St Boniface Centre provides high-quality facilities that can be hired by suitable users for a fee. The facilities are all carpeted and at ground level and comprise the Main Hall (with a central non-carpeted area suitable for dancing, and a pull-down projection screen), a well-equipped kitchen, a small lounge (the Cloister Lounge, overlooking the Garden of Rest), and cloakrooms and toilets with facilities for the disabled and for nappy changing.  Upstairs there are two rooms, the Small Upper and the Large Upper. All rooms are equipped with adequate seating and tables for most uses. There is also a video-player and a portable public address system available to hirers, by prior arrangement with the  Parish Office, at no extra charge.

If you want to hire the Centre, whether for a regular activity, or a one-off event (such as a child's or baptism party, wedding reception, funeral wake, etc.), then please contact the Parish Office. A volunteer team is sometimes able to provide refreshments for funeral wakes and baptism parties held at the Centre.  Please enquire at the Parish Office when you book one of these events.

Regular users of St Boniface Centre

Regular non-church users of the facilities at St Boniface Centre include pre-school play groups, ballet, tap and drama classes, WIs, gardening clubs, U3A groups, yoga, RSPB, dog training, National Blood Service and other health and social groups, music and choir groups.  

Conditions of Hire

All users are required to adhere to the Conditions of Hire which will be sent out to hirers together with their booking forms.

Notes re Hiring Rates

1.    There is an approximate 20% reduction on these rates for:

1.    Daily and weekly users.

2.    Church-related groups.

3.    Baptism, wakes and weddings.

2.    Kitchen:  

1.    £7 per session (tea/coffee and biscuits only).

2.    £14 per session (lunches, parties, suppers).

3.    No food or drink is permitted in the upstairs rooms.

4.    Loud music or discos after 2100 (9.00 pm) is permitted only by written prior arrangement. 

     5.    There is a strict 'NO SMOKING' policy throughout the premises.
